Review of all time records of IPL



IPL is no longer a filler event as it was introduced ten years back. It has got into the hearts of both the players and the viewers.

But the journey of IPL has been a roller coaster ride, from witnessing match-fixing scandals to banning teams to have the best batting as well as the balling performances. Cricketers, commentators, viewers from around the world have made this event so big.

So here today, we list down some of the All time records made by IPL.

1. Most Runs: Virat Kohli holds the record of scoring most runs by any player in IPL history so far. Virat has made 4110 runs, followed by Suresh Raina who is runner up moving into the season with 4098 runs. Suresh Raina has a pretty good chance of getting past Kohli as later is likely to miss few games from this year IPL because of the shoulder injury.

2. Most Wickets: Lasith Malinga with 148 wickets is the most wicket taking bowler in IPL history. He has achieved this feat in 98 matches, he also has a hat-trick as well as a five-wicket haul to his name. He is followed by Amit Mishra with 122 wickets in 112 matches.

3. Most Fifties: David Warner from Australia holds the record of scoring most number of fifties in nine editions of IPL, scoring the total of 32 fifties is followed by Kolkata's captain Gautam Gambhir (31 fifties).

4. Most Centuries: No surprises here, Chris Gayle with five tons is on the top of the list. It took him 91 innings to score five hundreds. Following Chris Gayle is his opening partner from RCB, Virat Kohli who has four hundreds.

5. Most Fours: Gautam Gambhir, Kolkata knight Riders' captain is on the top of the list scoring 422 fours in 132 innings. He is followed by Suresh Raina, who has 360 fours in 147 innings.
